First 5 Sierra maintains a network of highly trained, effective preschool teachers and childcare providers that serve our Sierra County children.  First 5 Sierra offers local professional development trainings for preschool teachers and childcare providers related to best practices and emerging issues in early education and childcare.  Teachers and providers receive a stipend for participating in ongoing professional development opportunities, including reimbursement for college credits earned in Early Childhood Education.
