Kelly Champion, Business Manager


Kelly joined us as the Business Manager for First 5 Sierra in May 2017.  She has extensive experience in accounting practices for both private businesses and government organizations.  She has an AA in both Accounting and Business Management from Sierra College, with additional classes in Social and Behavioral Sciences.  Kelly brings her personal experience as the mother of two small children to her perspective on the work of First 5 Sierra.  Kelly has been a Sierra County resident of over 20 years.  She can be found volunteering for a nonprofit organization building a new skatepark in Truckee or playing coed volleyball and softball.

First 5 Sierra Children and Families Commission (referred to as First 5 Sierra or the Commission), is a small organization that is dependent on the contributions of it’s staff, governing board and the community to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes for children prenatal through age five and their families.

 

We are currently searching for a full-time Executive Director that will provide administrative, program, and evaluation support to the Commission in its mission to effectively invest in early child development, family strengthening services, and systems change efforts.

 

The Executive Director must have a strong base of managerial and technical skills that can be flexibly adapted to meet the needs of many different stakeholders, coupled with an unwavering commitment to strengthening the systems that serve children aged 0-5 and their families.
